Doctor Who Gets New Teaser Trailer For 13th Doctor and Companions
The previous season of Doctor Who was a transitional one in many ways. First, it was the final season with Peter Capaldi as The Doctor, as well as the end of the long run of Stephen Moffat, the shows Showrunner since the days of Matt Smith. And then, it was revealed that the next Doctor was going to be the first ever female Doctor, played by British actress Jodie Whitaker. She appeared briefly in the final episode of last season, “Twice Upon A Christmas”, and fans have been eager for more since.
Well, during the World Cup Finals (which would’ve been even more ironic if England had been in them), a new teaser trailer for Doctor Who’s upcoming season was shown. It didn’t show Jodie Whitaker much, but instead, focused on the companions who will be joining her in the first season of her run. Which is good, because a recurring theme in recent years was having one companion be a focus, whereas previous Doctors would have several companions.
There’s still no official release date for the next season, but it is set to arrive sometime this year. But you can check out the teaser trailer below and let us know what you think!
