Dragon Age: Inquisition To Get GOTY Edition
In a move that really isn’t all that surprising, EA and BioWare have announced that their hit RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition will release in a Game of the Year edition that includes all previously released patches, updates and DLC. Revealed in a brand new trailer (which can be seen below), the announcement says that it will be available from October 6 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The role-playing game has already received a collection of downloadable content packs since its release. The first was Jaws of Hakkon in March, which was followed by Dragonslayer, Spoils of the Avvar, The Descent and Trespasser. However, not all of those packs included new missions and story elements, some simply contained new items, weapons and armor or customization options and gameplay additions.
The fact that the GOTY edition of Dragon Age: Inquisition will only be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One follows on from a decision made by Electronics Arts in July to not create any more DLC for older platforms. However, those who have saved games on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 can transfer their progress to a next generation version, which is a pretty decent compromise to owners of the last-gen version of the game.
