E3 2016: Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Space Battle Video Released
The Call of Duty Modern Warfare franchise continues later this year with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This week at E3 2016, Activision and Infinity Ward showcased new gameplay videos for the upcoming title and a new one was released online. You can check out the new “Ship Assault” video in the player below.
This is the first in-depth, extended look at gameplay for Infinite Warfare. The video was one of the behind-closed-doors, hands-off demo videos from the game that was shown at the Activision and PlayStation booths during E3. The new video shows Captain Reyes and his crew launching in a space battle to infiltrate and take down the enemy SetDef destroyer. After launching from the UNSA Retribution, the SCAR team engages in a Jackal dogfight in space and then close-quarters combat through zero-g, followed by a coordinated assault with the UNSA Tigris.
This definitely looks like it’s taking the Call of Duty franchise into some uncharted territory. The grappling attack to drag an enemy toward a melee kill looks especially fun.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare arrives on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Players who pre-purchase Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s Digital Deluxe, Legacy Edition, or Legacy Pro Edition for the PlayStation 4 will receive a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered 30 days early.
