E3 2017: Destiny 2 Won’t Run At 60FPS On Xbox One X
At E3, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X, which is being dubbed the “world’s most powerful console”, and as such, will have the best graphics on the market. But there’s a catch with that. You see, although the Xbox One X has the potential for amazing graphics, it’s still up to the developers to make the games to those specifications, and as was revealed at E3, one of the biggest games of the year won’t exactly do that.
Bungie revealed during the Youtube livestream of E3 (as documented by IGN) that Destiny 2 will only run at 30FPS on Xbox One X. This means it’ll match the PS4 Pro version of the game, which also will run at 30FPS, as well as the standard Xbox One and PS4 versions.
Interestingly enough, the games will run at 4K graphics, but 60FPS apparently wasn’t possible for either the PS4 Pro and seemingly the Xbox One X.
Destiny 2 releases on September 6th.
