E3 2018 Microsoft Conference Overview
Major improvements from last year show at this year’s E3 with Microsoft
The first conference of the big three companies happened on Sunday and Microsoft set a good sized bar for Sony and Nintendo to follow. The company showed off a lot of new games, Fallout 76 being one of them, however you can find the details to that here. Just like the last overview this is to cover stuff that are worth mentioning, but couldn’t get their own article due to lack of information and details.
Announcements and Trailers
Microsoft’s conference was packed with trailers of new games and games that already were announced. The highlights include Halo Infinite, Metro Exodus, Kingdom Hearts 3, We Happy Few, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War 5, Devil May Cry 5, Dying Light 2, Just Cause 4, Crackdown 3, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and Cyberpunk 2077.
Other trailers caught people off guard such as Session, Gears of War Pop!, Gears Tactics, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, Ori and the Will of the Whisps, Captain Spirit, Black Desert, and Tunic. Though the most notable of them are Jump Force, a Shoen Jump anime fighting game and the reboot of Battletoads. Both of which surprised the crowd. No details as of yet on these two, but eyes will be watching.
Forza Horizon 4
Microsoft gave new details on their racing game Forza Horizon 4 at their conference as now we know the location, new features, and a release date. This new Forza game will take place in Britian and will introduce seasons to the game. Each season will change the world around you as well as what you can race on. For example in the winter, you can race on a frozen lake. You will be able to customize your cars as well.
Multiplayer will be integrated into gameplay as there will now be world events to participate in along side people from around the world. There will also be a quick chat feature to help find and communicate with other players.
