DICE releases Frostbite 3 video to remind us how ace it is
In the aftermath of this year’s E3 expo, many are already hailing Electronic Arts’ forthcoming military shooter Battlefield 4 as a genre-defining blockbuster. The gameplay demonstrations presented by developer DICE two weeks ago blew audiences away with photorealistic visuals, dynamic destruction, and fluid, visceral infantry and vehicular combat… and we they Frostbite 3 to thank for it.
Want to see why I’ll be buying Battlefield 4 over Call of Duty: Ghosts next generation? Then keep scrolling.
The behind-the-scenes feature embedded below explains how much the Frostbite engine has evolved since its debut in 2008’s Battlefield: Bad Company, detailing what it enables developers to do, and how everything comes together in-game to deliver the “Only in Battlefield” multiplayer experience we know and love. Make yourself comfortable, turn your speakers up, and enjoy the show.
Battlefield 4 comes to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on October 29th in North America, October 31st in Australia, and November 1st in Europe. I can’t wait. Can you?

Not trying to hijack your thread but as i read it the thing that stuck out to me was “October 31st in Australia”… ha… The post directly under yours is about Australia banning Saints Row 4 but i guess ultra realistic looking killing is two thumbs up over there.
As for the game, on the same boat as you with not being mildly interested in ghosts compared to bf4. I’m just worried about seeing the season pass price for it… Looks pretty awesome though.
