“The Elf” Is Coming To A Shelf Near You
Let’s be honest. When you first heard about the whole concept for an “Elf on the Shelf,” didn’t it sound more creepy than endearing? A stiff doll whose watchful eyes are always on your children? What kind of sick mind thought that one up?
Uncork’d Entertainment had the right idea when they mutated the concept to create their holiday horror flick The Elf. Any Christmas doll with a creepy stare and pointed shoes can’t be a force for good. And this one’s got a knife!
Nick is haunted by night terrors stemming from a tragic murder he saw when he was young. After inheriting an old toy shop, he discovers a cursed elf doll sealed inside an ancient chest with a naughty list of his family’s names written on it. He soon discovers that the elf was an evil conduit meant to unleash a supernatural killing spree during the Christmas Holidays by whomever set it free.
The Elf was written and directed by Justin Price and stars Natassia Halabi, Les Best, and Joseph Daniel Ellis. It’ll arrive first on digital platforms November 7, and then on DVD December 12. Until then, be good little boys and girls or else.
