Final Fantasy Mobile MMO in the Works
Machine Zone Inc. and Square Enix recently issued some very interesting news pertaining to the Final Fantasy franchise. Machine Zone will now be developing the first ever mobile massive-multiplayer Final Fantasy game. The new game will be set in the Final Fantasy XV universe.
Speaking on the news, Machine Zone founder and CEO Gabe Leydon stated, “It is an honor to work on a franchise I have loved since I was a kid. FINAL FANTASY is an iconic franchise in gaming. Bringing FINAL FANTASY XV to the mobile MMO gaming world is a significant opportunity for our players and we are proud to partner with Square Enix.”
Square Enix President and Representative Director Yosuke Matsuda added: “Machine Zone has a stellar track record in the mobile gaming space and we are putting FINAL FANTASY XV in trustworthy hands. We are very excited to work with the MZ team to bring together two leaders in the gaming world and look forward to FINAL FANTASY XV on MZ’s amazing gaming platform. We’ll work together to create MZ’s next great global mobile MMO game.”
More details on the game and its release will be revealed later on. Elsewhere, Final Fantasy XV finally arrives on November 29. After many delays, the game finally hits the shelves on that date. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
