Final Game Of Thrones Seasons “Extraordinary”
Game of Thrones has been a hit TV series since its inception. It’s powerful story, great characters, blindsiding twists and turns, and epic battles have made it a classic for nearly all who watched it. Yet, the series is going to be ending. With the two final seasons not only being the end, but being shorter than the previous seasons have been.
This comes from actor Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont in the show. He told Radio Times: “They are taking the length of time it takes to shoot ten episodes to shoot just seven this year [for the show’s seventh season] and six next year [for the show’s eighth and final season],”
Despite the shorter seasons though. Glen states that these seasons will be something to behold:
“I think the scale and size of the set pieces, the world that is being created, it’s just getting more and more extraordinary and they feel they need that time to shoot seven hours as opposed to ten,” he said.
He also noted that there will be more back-and-forth, as the next season will try to show all sides of the story:
“This season you feel that the drama is moving towards its end game, more characters are overlapping so we are seeing a lot more of each other, than perhaps in the past,” he said. “In the same scenes and we are going to the same places.”
Game of Thrones will return in the summer of 2017.
