Five Nights At Freddy’s 4 Is Out….NOW!
Remember when Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights At Freddy’s and all of its sequels, announced his series would end with Five Nights At Freddy’s 4, and that the game would release on Halloween? All of that was true, except for the Halloween part.
The fourth game in Cawthon’s survival horror series made an appearance today as sudden as an evil animatronic bear behind your back. Even more surprising: the bots have escaped! This is the first Five Nights game to not take place At Freddy’s (making the title incorrect). You’re not a night watchman, you’re just a kid. And you don’t have a series of monitors to keep track of these guys — you only have a flashlight.
This time, the terror has followed you home.
In this last chapter of the Five Nights at Freddy’s original story, you must once again defend yourself against Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and even worse things that lurk in the shadows. Playing as a child whose role is yet unknown, you must safeguard yourself until 6am by watching the doors, as well as warding off unwanted creatures that may venture into your closet or onto the bed behind you.
You have only a flashlight to protect yourself. It will scare away things that may be creeping at the far end of the hallways, but be careful, and listen. If something has crept too close, then shining lights in its eyes will be your end.
There’s something else Cawthon changed. As of last week, the words “The Final Chapter” are gone. The words “last chapter” are still in the Steam description above, but “Final Chapter” is not in the Steam title nor does it appear in the official trailer linked below. Was anyone not expecting a Five Nights #5 anyway?
Five Nights At Freddy’s 4 is live on Steam and can be purchased for $7.99.
