Have you read something by Friedrich Schiller? He is an interesting German drama writer. The Robbers is his first novel - drama. A little bit longer dialogues which makes this drama unconventional. It looks like a lot like one of Shakespeare's drama.
Wilhelm Tel is his second best novel. A patriotic novel about Switzerland's independence struggle. It's basically a story about men's struggle against foreign aggression and influences.
