Lack of humility is a terrible trait. Note, I've seen this among my own family. For instance, I tried to convince some family members that they were being too hard on another member, seeing as that member ran with bad crowds due to childhood abuse. Nonetheless, they were not convinced, totally blaming that person for various faults while refusing to believe they, themselves, had any negative qualities.
Well, anyhow, one major thing contributing to these certain people being self-centered is the fact they are teachers and parents. Note, the parental status, as well as the pride from money and good health, they are health police, makes them feel superior to everyone, not only kids.
