Gamescom 2017: State Of Decay 2 Will Be Much Deeper Title
The original State Of Decay was a good, but flawed, take on the zombie killing genre of video games. But with State of Decay 2, things are going to be a lot different. The detail and depth of the gameplay is going to be displayed for all to see. And at Gamescom 2017, IGN got to see just how deep it goes.
“The goal for State of Decay 2 is simple,” said Undead Labs’ Jeff Strain. “We’re taking that original formula and we’re deepening the survival fantasy. Through deeper character progression systems, more extensive base building options, larger world, a more sophisticated simulation engine, and the number one fan demand – co-op.”
That right there already proves just how much bigger things will be getting, and that’s not a bad thing. Whether it’s in singleplayer or multiplayer modes, your actions and decisions will affect the community you are in, and that includes who lives and who dies.
“Decisions matter and consequences matter,” reiterates Strain.
If you’re doing multiplayer, your friends can jump into the game at any time, as well as jump out. And working together with them is vital if you want to complete missions or get supplies with someone you know you can count on.
So, do you think you’ll have what it takes to make it to the end?
