Hayley Atwell Up For Being Peggy Carter Still
The said things about certain shows and films and even comics is that sometimes a character or characters just resound with you, and though you and a lot of other people love them with all their heart they get cancelled or they won’t be continued again, or at least for as long as you can imagine. For the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that speaks to Agent Peggy Carter. The love interest of Captain America got a huge fan following, which led to multiple MCU appearances, a one-shot short film, and two seasons of her own TV show. Sadly, that show got canceled.
But…that doesn’t mean that actress Hayley Atwell isn’t up for donning the red hat and blue dress of Peggy again. In fact, at the Television Critics Association, she spoke with IGN about her love of Peggy, and the impact the character has had on those that have seen her show:
“I’d love to see [Peggy] more in films,” Atwell said. “I’d love to see her in her own film. And if we can keep evolving it so that she does new things so that I can surprise myself and she can keep surprising me then I’d love to do it.”
Atwell then added “And I feel very privileged to be part of something that people really love and that entertains them. But also, you’re going to these conventions and meeting people who’ve named their son Carter and people who have a tattoo of “I Know My Value,” the tagline. She’s a force of good and there are a lot of social media sites where girls and guys have come together and become good friends on an international scale because of their belief in some of the values that Peggy talks about. And that provides them with a different connection that a family situation or school situation that they don’t really feel they have a place in. That’s really cool to me. So I’m very happy to be a part of that world and keep that going.”

I have never seen the first "Captain America" movie, but I saw it online. I actually love the character of Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter. But her role was short-lived considering her role was from several decades ago. I never thought it had a TV series. I hope I am able to see some episodes.
