Heroes For Hire Might Be in Luke Cage Season 2
When you think of many superheroes, there is often team of they are connected to for which they are famous. Captain America with the Avengers, Wolverine with the X-Men, etc. When one thinks of Luke Cage, true comic fans will note Heroes For Hire, a group made by Cage to try and protect people who have issues other than “the world is ending.”
With the Luke Cage series only days away from premiering on Netflix for the world, and Iron Fist coming soon as well (he is often associated with Heroes For Hire too), many have wondered whether Heroes For Hire could be coming in some form to TV. Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker says in an interview that may be a possibility for Season 2 of Luke Cage once all the characters are set up:
“Now in my mind — we don’t go into Heroes for Hire in Season One of Luke Cage — Luke Cage Season One is ultimately about the evolution of a hero. I think what’s appealing about Luke is the fact that he’s just somebody who’s just your normal, average guy. He presents himself that way. He’s not pretentious, but then at the same time, feels a responsibility to kind of push forward. In terms of Luke Cage, Netflix has to order a second season first. And trust me, I don’t take any of this for granted.”
So could Heroes For Hire arrive? Well, the number of views for Luke Cage will no doubt be the answer. The first season arrives on the September 30 on Netflix.
