We all know that the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War is going to be massive. After all, this is the culmination of over a decade of work and dozens of films, but it may not be clear just how massive the film is going to be in terms of scenes.
What we mean is that between the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, other Marvel characters, and the villains, there’s potential for a lot of characters to be on the screen at once. This seems to be confirmed by Scarlett Johannsen, who appeared on Stephen Colbert and noted something interesting:
“Alright. I’m in it [and] at one point, I do think that the Infinity Wars — there are 61 or 62 Marvel characters in it. There’s a lot.”
She continued, “In one particular scene, I think there’s 32 — there’s a lot. There’s so many of us. I don’t even know who’s a Marvel character and who’s a crew member, honestly.”
That’s not surprising in context, again, this will have virtually every Marvel character there is, however, it is interesting to hear this is happening. One of the hardest things to do in a movie is work a large group in and make them feel relevant. We’ll have to see how Infinity War does with that challenge when part one releases next year.
