Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a new trailer this week for Injustice 2, revealing that Firestorm is now on the hero roster. You can check out the new video, featuring some new gameplay footage and moments, in the player below.

It seems the developers have picked a version of Firestorm similar to Jefferson Jackson from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. That is unless this is supposed to be Jason Rusch. It more than likely isn’t the Ronnie Raymond version of Firestorm. There’s a cool breakaway environment animation, where Catwoman gets thrown through a wall into the sewers, and she’s promptly attacked by Killer Croc. That’s definitely a cool moment for the game.

So far, this is shaping up to be a pretty epic, massive roster filled with DC heroes and villains. The armor and power-ups definitely seem to be among the more interesting aspects for this upcoming fighting game.

The game is due out on May 16. Injustice 2 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be interesting to see if the game eventually gets a PC or Nintendo Switch release. The game will be available in three different editions. There will be the standard disc release edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition and finally, the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition.
