Injustice 2: Sub-Zero From Mortal Kombat Joins the Roster
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment officially revealed a new character today for Injustice 2, and he’s a special guest character from another NetherRealm Studios franchise, Mortal Kombat. Sub-Zero of Mortal Kombat fame now joins the roster of the DC Comics fighting game.
Sub-Zero is available as a playable character now for gamers who purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, the Injustice 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, the Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack, or the Fighter Pack #1. You can check out an earlier gameplay trailer for Sub-Zero in Injustice 2 in the player below. Sub-Zero in the game features a new costume designed by artist and DC Publisher, Jim Lee. He’s also voiced by Steven Blum, who voiced the character in Mortal Kombat X.
The addition of the icy warrior brings the roster for Injustice to about 39 different characters. That’s including some alternate skins for certain characters that make them separate characters entirely, such as Jay Garrick for The Flash, John Stewart for Green Lantern, Vixen for Cheetah, etc.
Sub-Zero will later arrive for the game as a standalone DLC purchase starting July 18 at the PlayStation Store and the Xbox One. The fighting game, Injustice 2, is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players can also check out a mobile version for Android and iOS devices.
