Jesse Eisenberg Is Up For Being Lex Luthor Again
Despite the disarray that seems to be going on in the DC Comics Film Universe, there is a few constants that fans of the universe can take hope in. First, the movies are still being made. With Aquaman, Shazam, Wonder Woman 2, Suicide Squad, and apparently Flash either in production now, or getting set for it. And two, despite the films bad reception with critics and fans, the actors and actresses behind the characters love who they portray. That includes the very divisive Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg.
After being introduced in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and then making arguably the greatest post-credits scene in history with Deathstroke in Justice League, many wonder if Jesse Eisenberg is set to return as one of the greatest villains in DC Comics history. In an interview with Variety, he spoke very honestly about his future as Luthor.
“I hope so. I mean, I have no idea is the truth. I love playing the character. Probably in terms of movie acting, it’s the most enjoyable character I’ve had the opportunity to play,” Eisenberg said. “So I would love to do it again. But I don’t know what their slate is. If you have any pull, please use it.”
The honest truth as we see it is that it’s unclear. While Luthor set up the premise for the Legion of Doom to arrive in Justice League 2…it’s uncertain if that film will even come. It will likely depend on how Aquaman, Shazam, and Wonder Woman will do. There is the chance that he’ll return via Man of Steel 2 but that’s not even confirmed to be coming just yet.

Oh, I dunno man. Eisenberg's Luthor is a little too much like the Philosophy 101 version of the Riddler or Joker.
