Kelsey Grammer Wants To Be Beast Again
The X-Men saga has had a slew of great actors and actresses playing legendary characters from the comic franchise. From Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, to Halle Barry as Storm, and of course launching the career of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
One of the later additions was Kelsey Grammer as Hank McCoy, aka Beast. In X-Men: The Last Stand, Beast was already his blue self, and yet was also an established member of the government, helping oversee relations between humans and mutants. He also had a cameo in the “Future Perfect” ending of Days of Future Past.
At New York Comic Con, ComicBook.com got to catch up to Grammer, who talked about his time as Beast, as well as state what he wanted for the character.
“Beast was a riot, I think he was underused…I believe that they should have done another Beast movie, you know with my Beast.”
When asked whether he would be up for playing him again, should the timeline and story allow it to happen, Grammer smiled and said:
“Of course I would,”
Now whether this actually happens is up for debate. As it would take a very particular kind of story to bring Beast back. However, the X-Men are nothing if not creative as they have proven time and time again.
