Kingdom Hearts World Tour Concert Announced
What is a game without music? Simply put, it’s a bunch of moving pictures with little to no emotional connection. Music helps set the scenes we’re watching, and give gravity to the situation. The games that have the best music are often remembered very fondly. Such is the case with Kingdom Hearts, which is getting a world concert tour celebrating the music it has created over the last 15 years. Pre-Orders start April 30th, and here are the locations that’ll feature the concert:
- Tokyo (Tokyo International Forum) March 10, 2017
- Paris (Salle Pleyel) March 18-19
- London (Central Hall Westminster) March 24-25
- Singapore (Esplanade Concert Hall) May 6-7
- Shanghai (Mercedes Benz Arena) May 28
- Los Angeles (Dolby Theatre) June 10, 14
- New York (United Palace Theatre) June 24
Kingdom Hearts series-composer Yoko Shimomura said this of the concert “When I began composing for the Kingdom Hearts series, I couldn’t even dream this day would come. But it has, thanks to our beloved fans. This concert and the music of Kingdom Hearts could not have existed without their undying support. I can’t thank them enough. The concert will encompass my feelings toward the series and those dear to me around the world.”
Over 70 musicians will help bring the songs to life once again, accompanied by in-game footage from all the titles.
