Kingpin Could Return Via Daredevil Or Punisher Series
If you ask Marvel fans, what the biggest flaw in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is, many will note that the villains often come off as one-note. Meaning they’re there for one film, and then are gone or dead. This in fact is still true with many Marvel films, including Ant-Man and Civil War.
However, with the Marvel/Netflix collaborations, the villains have become as meaningful as the heroes themselves. This goes especially for Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Kingpin in the Daredevil series. He was by far one of the best parts of an already amazing series. Even returning in Season 02 to help push the storyline forward once again.
With him still being alive, and still having plenty of potential for story, IGN asked him in an interview whether he’ll be coming back:
“I can’t. I can’t say a word. I can say that Charlie [Cox] and I love working together. And I know that because of Jeph’s love of the character and the Daredevil series, that that’s probably not finished, that whole deal when it comes to Fisk. But when and where and how is not something I can talk about. I know that there’s … anybody that knows the whole Daredevil and Punisher series, they know that there’s a lot of Fisk in there. I love it because it shoots from New York and I can be home with my family and play this incredible character. For me, that first season that Steven DeKnight wrote is just so spectacular. The few episodes that I did in the second season .. was it one or two? I can’t remember. But those were really well-written also. As long as the writing stays as good as that, then I’m going to be there whenever they ask me to.”
