When it was first announced as Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy in 2016, it was only revealed that the game would be releasing on the Nintendo 3DS in July 2017. However, nine months and a name change later and it appears as if the original plans have shifted significantly.
The latest instalment in the highly-acclaimed puzzle series will now be available on both Android and iOS worldwide at the same time it launches for the handheld console in Japan. Word on a Western port of the game for Nintendo’s 3DS has still not been confirmed, though Level-5 has said it will come eventually.
As demonstrated in the latest trailer for the game (which can be viewed below), Layton’s Mystery Journey will see players taking on the role of Katrielle Layton rather than her father Professor Hershel Layton. It is set to launch on July 20.
