Legend of Zelda Wii U Will NOT Be Coming Out in 2015
That’s right, you read that correctly. Arguably 2015’s biggest Nintendo title is not coming out this year. In a video you can see below, Legend of Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma takes center stage and explains why The Legend of Zelda Wii U will not be coming out this year.
The primary reason seems to be that the development team have come up with new ideas that’ll make the game even bigger and grander than before. This caused a dilemma, as they were not sure whether to amend the game to include these features/ideas, or just add them to the game fully without cutting out other features.
Aonuma decided on the latter option, and will now apparently proceed with Zelda Wii U without fear of deadline to ensure that everything gets put in and smoothed out for the betterment of the title.
“So I must apologize to all of you who were expecting the game by year’s end, but we are no longer making a 2015 release our number one priority,” Aonuma says. “Instead, our priority is to make it the ultimate and most complete Zelda game.”
This will no doubt be a huge blow to Legend of Zelda fans, but the promise of an “ultimate and most complete Zelda game” does make this delay sound worth it.
