Lightspeed Frontier To Hit Steam March 7th
A new game is set to hit Steam Early Access next year, one that likens itself to LEGO, while also adding a lot of RPG and exploration elements. It’s called Lightspeed Frontier, here’s the description:
Lightspeed Frontier lets you build a spaceship by selecting the parts you need (armor, mini-guns, thrusters, shield, etc.), and then stick them together like you’re putting together a LEGO set.
After completing your ship you can explore a sandbox galaxy and complete missions to reap the riches of the galaxy and upgrade your ship. While flying through the galaxy you’ll engage in riveting battle with crime lords and space pirates to protect your loot.
As captain, players will embark on an adventure to discover the mysteries of the universe as they complete missions to reap the riches of the galaxy. During exploration, captains will decide whether to practice diplomacy or engage in riveting battle with crime lords and space pirates. As a savvy businessperson, players will compete against greedy corporations that are monopolizing business to become the most successful captain in the galaxy.
“Lightspeed Frontier has hours of gameplay and in Early Access players will play, what we feel, is an extremely polished game,” said Philip Devine, Producer at Riveted Games. “During Early Access we’ll expand on the game’s content and introduce a thrilling multiplayer mode that will allow for endless free-roaming adventures.”
At Early Access launch, Lightspeed Frontier will have hours of single-player missions, while the sandbox nature allows for unlimited hours of exploration and play. Multiplayer is in the works and will officially launch when Lightspeed Frontier departs Early Access.
