Logan Director Up For X-23 Film
Logan, the “final” Wolverine film is set to arrive in just two weeks. But fans are already wanting more, and they aren’t alone. James Mangold has stated that he knows he and Hugh Jackman will work together again one day, but also, he could totally see himself doing another movie based on a character from the film.
He reveals to We Got This Covered that he’d be more than happy to do a character about X-23, who makes her live-action debut in this film:
“I think Dafne [Keen] is incredible in the film and I would love to see another film about that character and that’s certainly something I’d be involved in,” he shared. “For me, that was one of the big additions I brought to the table, this decision to try to make the film about family and to try to insert Laura and the pressures that would put and the idea about Charles ailing.”
X-23 has been a fan-favorite character since her debut in the X-Men: Evolution cartoon last decade. She was promptly put into the comic, and is actually the current mantle holder of the title Wolverine. Now, if a movie was to be made, it would likely have to be an older version of the character that’s in Logan, but it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch.
Logan arrives in theaters March 3rd.
