Man of Steel Prequel Series Krypton Still In Development
Of the numerous DC Comics TV shows in development or on the air, only one will have a connection to the films that are beginning to role out. The prequel series Krypton. One that will be headed up by Man of Steel and Constantine veteran David S. Goyer.
Goyer talked with Collider about the series, and noted that though there hasn’t been news on it in a while, it is still in development, noting that we will hopefully get more information on it soon.
He also gave more details on the plot itself, as it will focus on the grandfather of Superman, “as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest superhero ever known.”
Goyer also noted that he really wanted to see Krypton itself in Man of Steel, and made sure it got its due in the film:
“Part of the fun of doing Man of Steel — and I was so insistent on setting that opening on Krypton and really seeing it, was pulling back the curtain. The first draft, the first forty pages were on Krypton, so we compressed that all down to fifteen minutes and there were a lot of ideas that I wanted to use in the film that didn’t ultimately make it into the film.”
We’ll hopefully have more details on Krypton soon.
