Mark Hamill Leads Master of Orion Voice Cast
WG Labs officially announced this week the voice-over cast for the upcoming Master of Orion game reboot. The voice-over cast features a number of talented actions and thespians, most notably Star Wars star Mark Hamill, who portrays the Alkari Emperor in the game. The reboot will feature updated graphics, gameplay and will be fully voiced. Early access to the game is set to begin early this month with the purchase of the game’s Collector’s Edition.
Speaking on the announcement, WG Labs Director of Product Chris Keeling stated: “The original Master of Orion captured the hearts of gamers with solid gameplay and a rich, diverse universe where every choice makes a difference. Having some of the most iconic science fiction, horror and video game voice talent lending their skills to the game only helps us realize this amazing universe in even more exciting ways.”
The voice-over cast features Mark Hamill, Alan Tudyk (Firefly), Michael Dorn (Star Trek), Kat Cressida (Haunted Mansion), John de Lancie (Star Trek), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elmstreet), John Kassir (Tales from the Crypt), Dwight Schultz (Babylon 5), Nolan North (Uncharted) and Troy Baker (The Last of Us). WG Labs also announced details for the game’s new Collector’s Edition, which arrives on February 26 for Steam and GOG.com for $49.99. It will feature the first three Master of Orion games, retro pixel ship skins, a digital art book, a new orchestral soundtrack, an and exclusive new race, the Terran Khanate.
