Mark Ruffalo Still Doesn’t Think A Hulk Solo Movie Is Coming
It’s not easy being green, as it’s becoming clear that Marvel just isn’t putting faith into its not so jolly green giant, The Hulk. As he’s only been seen in the Avengers movies in major roles. And even with Hulk apparently teaming up with Thor in Thor: Ragnarok, Ruffalo told USA Today that the odds of a solo film still aren’t good.
“Actually, it feels even further away. It’s not Marvel’s property, it’s Universal’s property. I don’t know. It seems really problematic.”
However, he does have ideas of what he would like to see if the movie gets made. One of which being a classic “meeting of the minds” in regards to Bruce Banner and Hulk, of which he noted when he talked Age of Ultron:
“When I was doing Age of Ultron — doing the Scarlet Witch acid trip scenes — it really took me a long time to figure out what the Hulk would be afraid of. And then I realized, it was Banner.”
Now of course, his focus is on Thor: Ragnarok, and he regaled USA Today about how well he and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) get along:
“Chris (Hemsworth) and I have a really good time together, we goof off and play around when Tom Hiddleston is around. So it’ll be a lot of funny back-and-forth, especially with Taika, he does that really well. It’ll have that kind of antagonistic ‘Odd Couple’ thing going on.”
“Thor: Ragnarok” is scheduled for release on July 28, 2017.
