Mark Ruffalo Talks Hulk/Banner Relationship In Thor 3
One of the biggest inclusions in the upcoming film Thor: Ragnarok, is that Bruce Banner, aka Hulk, will be a co-story alongside the prince of Asgard. A partnership that’ll see them hoping across the realms in order to face a new and dark threat.
As this version of the Hulk has only been seen in the Avengers films, there’s a lot of questions about how he’ll be portrayed in a more leading role.
Mark Ruffalo sat down to talk about the upcoming film, and he noted a relationship between Bruce Banner and the Hulk that has been shown in the comics previously, “the only person the Hulk is scared of in the entire world is Banner,” the actor tells Collider
“What’s exciting about Bruce at this point,” Ruffalo said, “is the arc he’s ultimately making and his relationship to the Hulk. And how that is going to resolve itself. No one’s really gone to that place. They’re coming for a collision course with each other. I think could be pretty exciting if we could find a way to do it, multi-dimensionally.”
In the comics, Bruce and the Hulk often do interact with one another, this at times causes major shifts in their paradigms. Even so far as to separate the two…at the urging of The Hulk.
Thor: Ragnarok arrives in theaters November 3rd, 2017.
