Mass Effect Andromeda Senior Development Director Exits BioWare
Mass Effect Andromeda lost its original Senior Development Director in Chris Wynn this month. The developer revealed on Twitter that he is leaving BioWare and moving back to the United States. It appears there were no hard feelings or burned bridges over Wynn’s departure. He has nothing but glowing things to say about the BioWare staff and N7 community. You can check out Wynn’s tweets on the subject below.
Wynn exclaimed that the Andromeda team was the “most talented team” he ever worked with, and he called the experience “truly inspiring.”
BioWare later released a statement on Wynn’s exit to Game Informer. Per the statement from a BioWare representative: “Chris was a great member of the team. We want to thank him for his contributions and we wish him the best in his new adventures. Development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin.”
There is still no word on if someone is filling Wynn’s post. It will be interesting to see if this has a major impact on the game’s development, if at all. Mass Effect Andromeda is due out in fall 2016. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
It is with a heavy heart today to say that I am moving on from BioWare and Mass Effect: Andromeda, and returning to the USA.
