Metroid: Zero Mission Heads To The Wii U January 14
If you’re looking for a remake done right, look no further than Metroid: Zero Mission, a remake of the original NES Metroid game that was first released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance. A fan favorite among many, it retells the original story (which wasn’t very developed with 1986 technology) of Samus’s original mission to Planet Zebes to stop Ridley and Kraig and exerminate the deadly Metroid species. This is also the game that Zero Suit Samus originated in, but for the sake of those who have never played, we won’t tell you where.
“Space bounty hunter Samus Aran is sent on a lone mission to infiltrate the fortified planet of Zebes. Traverse through the mazelike base of operations for the Space Pirates, gaining access to powerful upgrades and items for your weapons and suit. Locate Mother Brain, and put a stop to the replication of Metroids!”
Look for Metroid: Zero Mission tomorrow, January 14, in the Wii U eShop. Some might complain about the lack of a 3DS version, but this is the type of portable game that really should’ve been released for the big screen (in home terms). You want to experience it this way.
