Mortal Kombat X Kollector's, Premium and Limited Edition Details Revealed
The next installment of the immortal fighting game franchise, Mortal Kombat, finally arrives in April. However, there will be multiple editions that the video gaming public will be able to choose from for the pending release for Mortal Kombat X. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive announced the details this week for the special Mortal Kombat X: Kollector’s Edition by Coarse, the Mortal Kombat X Limited Edition, and the digital release Mortal Kombat X Premium edition.
The special Kollector’s Edition by Coarse will only be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game and will cost $149.99. You can check out an image and preview video for the Coarse edition below which features:
- Exclusive Scorpion figurine and Certificate of Authenticity, designed by Coarse. Coarse has been recognized in Collector and Designer figure communities for their artistic approach, dedication to detail, and unique storytelling through sculpture.
- In-game Gold Scorpion Skin, inspired by the Coarse figurine
- The Kombat Pack, which includes access to four add-on playable characters from Klassic Kombatants to Iconic guest characters
Also on April 14, players will be able to purchase the Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition. This is available as a digital download only release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC for $89.99. The premium edition only includes the aforementioned Kombat Pack from the Kollector’s Edition.
The Mortal Kombat X Limited Edition will only be available as a pre-order exclusive at GameStop stores for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles for $94.99. Here are the extras for the Limited Edition.
- Exclusive Scorpion Skin – this skin design, inspired by the Cold War, is a collaboration between NetherRealm Studios and a fan artist from the MKKollective.com, a crowd-sourced destination where Mortal Kombat enthusiasts can upload, submit and share their MK-related art, images, cosplay, music and videos.
- The Kombat Pack
Mortal Kombat X will be available for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on April 14.
