New The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Gameplay Trailer Showcases the Northern Realms
The long wait for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt seems to be nearing its end. With that in mind, CD Projekt Red is stepping up the hype machine for the game. A new gameplay trailer for Wild Hunt dropped today, featuring about five minutes of new, narrated footage. You can check out the latest video in the player below.
The new video offers a nice crash course for the Northern Realms setting for the game. There is some footage of some beautiful, sweeping landscapes. There is even a shot of witcher and monster slayer, Geralt of Rivia, sailing the open seas where you can see a whale’s tale cresting the surface in the distance. The level of detail in the wildlife and sea life alone in the game looks unreal. Unfortunately, there is still no footage of what gameplay as Ciri, the Child of Prophecy, looks like.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hits the shelves on May 19. The game will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. In addition, the first major DLC expansion, Hearts of Stone will be available in October. The second major DLC add-on, Blood & Wine, will be available later in 2016.
