New Xbox One Update Brings New Features And Lets Players Upload Their Own Gamerpic
The latest Xbox One update is now available to download and it brings a whole host of new features with it. Top of the list is the ability to upload your own personalized gamerpic rather than having to make do with the customization options built-in to the console.
The headline features include:
- Upload custom Gamerpics to your Xbox profile; choose how you want to express yourself.
- Mixer Co-streaming is now on console, for everyone: With just a few clicks, you and up to three of your friends can stream together in a single broadcast. Plus, never miss your friends’ streams inside your Club and Arena Tournaments.
- Sign-in to your Xbox One with just one press of the Xbox button on your controller. Now you can make your controller truly your own.
- New user-generated tournaments for Killer Instinct on Xbox One means it’s never been easier to go to battle with your friends.
The update also brings a number of changes to the Xbox App on both Android and iOS. This includes support for LFG sharing, the ability to browse games on the Xbox Game Pass, and the ability to use Messaging Chat Bubbles on Android.
While players have previously been able to use a custom gamerpic through the use of the Xbox Live Vision Camera, this is the first time Microsoft have opened up the process to everyone. There’s obviously going to be some people who abuse the system but Major Nelson has asked users to remember the Code of Conduct and keep the pictures clean and safe for work.
