NVIDIA and Ubisoft establishes PC gaming alliance for game releases
At gamescom, Ubisoft and NVIDIA has come together to form a gaming alliance for the PC platform. This alliance will see Ubisoft’s upcoming releases receive exclusive features for the PC such as DirectX 11-powered Tessellation.
This PC exclusive campaign has so far provided Splinter Cell Blacklist with exclusive features and will also apply to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch_Dogs. Under the alliance, Splinter Cell Blacklist has released with NVIDIA TXAA, NVIDIA HBAO+, and full support for NVIDIA SLI.
Unfortunately, details about what features Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch_Dogs will have were not mentioned by NVIDIA but the company has promised to provide more details “in the coming months”.
Watch_Dogs is expected to release on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 19th.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is slated for release on October 29th for North America, October 31st for Australia and November 1st for Europe for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
A next gen console version for both games are in development but no release date has been provided thus far.
