NYCC 2017: The Tick To Have “Introspective” Journey
The Tick debuted on Amazon Prime in August, and it was well received by many. The second half of the first season is set to arrive in February, and at New York Comic Con, the cast and crew talked about the show and what fans can look forward to.
For example, the story will go even deeper, and roles will be examined. The main one being The Tick examining himself:
“To have this central character whose main quality is that he is constant, and he just doesn’t change, you’ll see — he becomes a little more introspective,” said star Peter Serafinowicz. “I sort of realize I don’t have a [back story] and that’s when the seeds of doubt star to sprout. He has this philosophy. I know what’s right and wrong. I’m a superhero. He’s never thought about himself. But then when he [becomes introspective] he starts to question his own existence. It’s when his problems begin. ‘An unexamined life is not worth living.’”
Fans can also expect more use of the supervillains, and drumming, apparently.
The Tick wll return February 23rd, 2018.
