With, the team behind the show took to NYCC to talk about what was coming up. Including revealed that Patrick Warburton, who was the first live-action Tick, will be appearing in the season at some point. They also noted that they’d love to get more of the original cast as well to come in.

They’ll be some comments on the Tick, because he was The Tick.” Edlund said he’d love to bring in all of the cast members from the previous series eventually, saying, “Everyone in the whole live-action was wonderful, so if we have the opportunity to use Nestor [Carbonell], and Liz [Vassey] and Dave [Burke] in different forms, that’s something that will be special for us.”
The writers also noted how the environment is perfect for the Tick to be in, as everyone knows about superheroes nowadays:
“The current environment is a perfect place to have fun with superheroes. It’s s situation where I never anticipated this level of superhero saturation in our culture. It’s the perfect hunting ground for The Tick.” He added, “There’s never been a public more educated” on superheroes, making it “Exactly the right time for us to join in.”
Finally, they admitted that a very special parody character would be coming. One based off of The Punisher.
