Netflix’s Avatar the last Airbender won’t be whitewashed
Whitewashing had been the bane of the existence of Asian actors in Hollywood. Asian erasure was the easy way for Hollywood to cast big-name established white actors to play Asian roles. Hollywood use to do yellow face. They give makeup to white actors so they can play Asian roles because of anti-miscegenation laws. When people started seeing it as offensive. They just cast white actors for those Asian roles and change the ethnicity of the characters. Here is a trip to the memory lane to some of the most recent whitewashing Hollywood did to Asian characters in adaptations. Starship troopers is an Adaptation of the science-fiction novel of the same name. It is about Juan “Johnny” Rico. He is a rich kid who joined the military against a war with an Alien insect race. The movie version turned him into an Argentine so they can cast Caucasian actor Casper Van Dien for his role. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPYuV_jGk7M Dragonball Evolution cast Canadian Actor to play iconic anime character Son Goku. Square Opens Preorders For Legend Of Mana
Square Enix has shown more love for the Mana series recently than they have in many years. They remade Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana, and rereleased the first three Manas in one package…and now the fourth game, Legend of Mana, is coming back too. Not in its original form, and not as a remake…this time it’s a widescreen remaster with polished-up backgrounds and updated features. Usually the plot in a Mana game involves a threat to the Mana Tree, source of all life in the candy-colored world the games take place in. It’s said that if the Mana Tree ever dies then all life goes with it. And I guess they weren’t kidding because when you start up Legend of Mana, you discover the Mana Tree is gone — and so is everything else in the entire world! This meant a very different gameplay gimmick than fans at the time were used to. Instead of strightforwardly marching through environments, you had to build places yourself and place them

Causa: Voices Of Dusk Now Available On Steam
Indie studio Niebla Games has announced their strategy card game Causa: Voices Of Dusk has officially left Early Access and become a full product on Steam. True to the genre, gameplay in Causa involves battling in duels with virtual cards. Each player has a four-card hand that replenishes itself each turn, and up to two cards are allowed to be placed on the board per turn. What makes Causa different is the ability to sacrifice cards to build up resources — and then “resurrect” them later on to hit your opponents with surprise moves. The full version contains additions like a battle pass system, power card packs, six additional faction leaders and fifty new cards (for a total of 350 on launch). More content can be added with DLC and in-app purchases (there is now a 20% discount on these things, but only during launch week). – Unique tactical gameplay with complex strategic options Sacrifice cards from your hand or your board to build up your resources. The Next Evil Dead Movie Is An HBO Max Exclusive
The dead are coming back….Evil Dead Rise, a brand-new movie in the series, is now in the works at New Line Cinema. But it’s exploring new territory…the film will be the first in the series to debut on streaming in the US: HBO Max has the rights. (In England and France it will be released theatrically.) This isn’t the only unconventional thing about it. Early reports indicate the movie will have two monster-shooting leads, they’ll be both female, and they’ll be facing off against demons in a city skyscraper, not a cabin in the woods. We’re sure some will balk at so many changes, but simply repeating what has happened before wouldn’t be great. There’s potential in the new premise. “At its core, Evil Dead is about ordinary people overcoming extraordinarily terrifying situations,” says iconic original lead Bruce Campbell (who retired from the role of Ash after the TV series). “I can’t wait for Alyssa and Lily to fill the blood-soaked shoes of those who have come before them and
First Teaser For Cobra Kai Season 4
Netflix still isn’t ready to tell you anything new about Cobra Kai Season Four. The twenty-second teaser released today only confirms something we already knew — Terry Silver is joining the baddies’ side when the show returns. If you don’t know who Terry Silver is…well, a lot of people don’t, because he comes from one of the later Karate Kid sequels at a time when everyone’s interest had checked out. It didn’t help that the movie was completely bonkers and routinely ranks on the bottom when the four existing Karate Kid movies are ranked by websites. But it’s part of the lore regardless, so here he is. To the show’s credit, they’re doing a good job easing viewers in to the existence of Terry Silver. The most recent episode explicitly spelled out his relation to John Kreese, the cruel dojo master who originally ran Cobra Kai when Daniel and Johnny were kids and runs it now. Kreese and Silver were both prisoners of war during Vietnam, held captive in the
A Whole Lotta Sonic Is Speeding Our Way
Early this morning Sega streamed out Sonic Central, an eleven-minute presentation announcing every Sonic The Hedgehog-related thing they plan to release over the next twelve months. A list of what would be revealed was leaked a couple days ago, and though it might have gotten a couple things wrong (more on that in a bit), it was overall accurate. For instance, the list mentioned a remake of Sonic Colors, and that’s exactly what we’re getting. Sonic’s 3D track record has been spotty at best, but Colors (originally released exclusively on the Wii) was one of the better efforts. The plot is that Sonic visits an amusement park in space that turns out to be an elaborate scheme by Dr. Eggman to enslave a cosmic race called the Wisps — and “that’s no good.” The most important thing about Colors is it leaves out all the unnecessary extra elements with other characters and just lets you RUN. The new version will be called Sonic Coors Ultimate, and it will be accompanied
Old, A movie that will make you fear aging
Old is a comeback movie for M. Night Shyamalan and its published by Universal Studios. People say that Age is just a number but that is BS, I hate aging. If there is a technology that can keep me young forever, I will spend my life savings on it. So it is a horror movie that hits close to home because it’s about a horror we cannot escape. Old is an adaptation of the novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters. Time is a thief and aging is evidence of it. This is like having the plot of the song “Cats in the cradle” happen within 24 hours. It will make give your best to hold on to your loved ones because time runs very fast. . Gael García Bernal and Vicky Krieps plays the role of a husband and wife who goes on vacation with their three children on a secluded beach the mom found on the internet. They want to be on that beach as
Resident evil 8 : Village now have a 3rd person mod!
Old school fans of Resident evil have and people who played the remakes first have one complaint in Resident evil Village. It is in the first person Camera. Some players empathize more with a character they can see. Despite that, this game is a huge success because it shipped 4 million units! If you have a PC version of Resident evil village, You can now see Ethan Winters’s face. Ethan does have a face but it only appears during cutscenes. This Mod changed the camera angles and made Ethan’s head permanent. Resident Evil Village may have been intended for the first person but it still looks gorgeous on over the shoulder camera angles: At a certain point in the game, You will be playing as the Classic Resident Evil Protagonist, Chris Redfield. The mod also made Chris in 3rd person during the segments where you play as him. A year ago someone made a 3rd person mod for Resident Evil 7 but they didn’t make 3rd person models for other
Fast & Furious: Highway Heist Coming from Funko Games
A Fast & Furious tabletop game? What a great idea! You would look for the rulebook, but there wouldn’t be one…there would barely be a GM, who would describe the scenario before just letting your imaginations run with it, attempting to top each other with increasingly outrageous stunts and maneuvers. It’d be Calvinball with cars. “I swerve to avoid your machine gun turrets and catapult myself off the roof of a building.” “Little do you know I placed seven hundred land mines on that roof, anticipating your arrival!” “But Dom pulls a lever and activates his anti-land mine ray that blows up all the mines before he gets there, creating a cushion of air that floats him safely away via his deployed parachute.” “In retaliation, I hit the gas and drive so fast that I travel backward through time and marry Letty, leaving Dom alone.” “But their son KNEW you were going to do that and an adult version of him just teleported in from a post-apocalyptic future to protect
2023’s Most Popular Steam Games
The question of “what were the most popular games on Steam this year” isn’t as cut and dried as you’d think. How is that determined? By popularity alone, or by sales? Or a mix of both? To cover all ground, Steam has released multiple lists of top-ranking games, ordered by different categories. And they are…. BEST SELLING STEAM GAMES OF 2023 Apex Legends Baldur’s Gate 3 Call of Duty Counter-Strike 2 Cyberpunk 2077 Destiny 2 Dota 2 Hogwarts Legacy Lost Ark PUBG: Battlegrounds Sons Of The Forest Starfield If we went by sales, Apex Legends (a game that’s hardly new) would be topping the charts. You can see why big publishers are chasing GAAS (Games As A Service) these days. The problem is that GAAS is one of the most risky genres to attempt…they live or die on the size of their userbase, so if the public doesn’t like it, the game is worthless. We doubt Starfield is going to be on the list in 2024. BEST SELLING NEW STEAM
