Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Launches Second Beta May 5
The classic tabletop RPG Pathfinder is coming to PC monitors…..again! After the success of Pathfinder: Kingmaker, creator Owlcat Games is working on a sequel….Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous. The crowdfunding campaign ended with over two million dollars raised. Not long after, Owlcat conducted an alpha test in April and May of 2020, and applied what they learned from testing into this latest build, one year later. This beta test will be the last before Pathfinder is made available publicly, and anyone who paid for beta access on the Kickstarter or Slacker Backer campaigns will be able to participate. Within the latest version of the game, you’ll find all content included in the first beta, plus more sidequests, new content like Crusade gameplay, the finalized UI, and a weapon companion that talks (hope that’s not too annoying). “Our studio is excited for fans to once again embark on a Mythic Path and immerse themselves in well over 50 hours of spellbinding content,” says Alexander Mishulin, Creative Director of Pathfinder: Wrath of
Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows Coming To Consoles And PC
Developer Monochrome and Publisher Hatinh Interactive have announced Tandem: A Tale of Shadows, a puzzle platformer with a Verne-inspired story and Burton-inspired visuals. Thomas Kane, son of a famous family of illusionists, has disappeared without a trace. His friend Emma wants to know what’s going on, and decides the only way to find out is to investigate his disappearance on her own. She’s not alone though — her teddy bear Fenton will help her navigate the area and survive. The fact that the stuffed bear is apparently alive is the least strange thing about what’s going on. To find Thomas, Emma and Fenton must navigate the labyrinthine halls of the Kane manor, from more than one perspective. When you control Emma, you’ll see the mansion from a top-down perspective, but when you control Fenton, the same rooms will appear as a sidescroller. You’ll have to use these differing views to solve the puzzles in each room and advance. It helps that Fenton has the ability to walk on shadows, and
TCM Presents Doctor X — Newly Restored From Old Master
One of Hollywood’s earliest horror films is 1932’s Doctor X — directed by Michael Curtiz. Casual movie fans may not know his name, but he was behind the making of a whopping 180 films, most of them for the Warner Bros studio. Before you say “it’s quality that counts, not quantity,” Casablanca is on that list…and so is Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942), Mildred Pierce (1945) and White Christmas (1954), all landmark films. And there are 176 more! One of Curtiz’s lesser known works is the aforementioned Doctor X, recently restored to its original two-color Technicolor edition. TCM has the rights and will be premiering the restored movie on their channel May 6, as part of the TCM Classic Film Festival. New York City reporter Lee Taylor (Lee Tracy) is doing a piece on a series of grisly, cannibalistic murders that have all been committed under a full moon. Police soon begin to suspect that the murderer works at the lab of Dr. Jerry Xavier (Lionel Atwill), a mysterious Long Island researcher who is doing
Oxygen -the horrors of Clausthrophobic horror coming to Netflix
Oxygen’s trailer just got dropped the official Youtube channel of Netflix, finally. Oxygène aka Oxygen is a futuristic French horror coming to Netflix. This film possesses a fresh concept that tackles Claustrophobia. In a recent study, 12.5% of American adults suffer from Claustrophobia. Some people who have this condition get stressed out by the enclosed space, While others have complete panic attack episodes. This movie will be close to home to people who experience the same fear. Imagine yourself in the same situation of the poor protagonist. This film in a way reminds me of the 90s thriller buried a life but with a science fiction twist. Something is suffocating about being in a tight space where you can barely move. According to some studies, most claustrophobics have this fear because of childhood trauma hence the fear of small spaces. Discomfort and depleting air supply can take a toll on your sanity. Mélanie Laurent plays the role of a woman who wakes up in a nightmare scenario. She suffers from
The Great Ace Attorney Makes His Journey West
Capcom’s Ace Attorney series has been around for a while, and while most of the titles have been released in other countries, there are several games that never made it outside Japan. Two of those are the “Great Ace Attorney” spinoff series, which is a prequel set in the Victorian era starring Phoenix Wright’s ancestor Ryunosuke Naruhodo. The first “Great” game came out in 2015 on the 3DS and its sequel was released two years later. It’s a little too late to be releasing things on 3DS….good thing a Switch port is in the works. And it won’t be just Switch…Playstation 4 and the PC are also getting their own versions. And they’re all coming here, in English….in one volume, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. Between these two games, you will experience: Ten chapters, each with its own case to solve Eight additional mini-episodes Dual audio in English and Japanese Alternate costumes Art and music galleries Set in the late 19th century during Japan’s Meiji Period and England’s Victorian era,
The Witcher Returns To Netflix Later This Year
Good news for everyone with a Netflix subscription: one of its best programs is confirmed to be returning within 2021. Until now, nobody knew when we’d be getting the second season of The Witcher, and it could very well have taken until 2022 to show up…but the company revealed today Season 2 will appear in the second half of this year. It’s not an EXACT release date but it’s close enough. Having nailed his performances in books, television AND video games, Geralt of Rivera is that rare character who’s accomplished the fiction form of an EGOT. He belongs to a race of monster-hunters known as Witchers, whom everybody fears but is willing to hire to do their dirty work. Through a series of events that take the entire first season to tell, Geralt finds himself bound to Princess Ciri, a young girl who could either endanger or save the world, depending on who’s protecting her. Guess who’s been declared her legal guardian? Geralt spends most of Season 1 searching for
Yahoo Answers is shutting down
Yahoo made an announcement that Yahoo answers will be shutting down on the 4th of May. If you created some content on this platform, it’s time screencap them. Before there was Facebook,Instagram,Youtube and reddit, there is Yahoo answers. During its prime, this site even had guest famous celebrities to ask the questions. There are students who even used this site for homeworks. I have fond memories of this discussion site but at least we have Reddit,Mylot,Forumcoin, and Quora as alternatives once this iconic Q and A social network is gone. I was still using the site last month and the activity dwindled because less people are active. During the prime of this site, I can get 10 answers seconds after I made a questions. I barely get answers the past few years. Askers usually picks the best answer after three days and I still remember the feeling of Pride whenever I was chosen as best answer. When you are chosen as the best, it means you had been helpful. The
Marvel United: X-Men Launches Crowdfunding Campaign
CMON is the name of both a tabletop gaming studio and a publisher: they’re behind such titles as Zombicide, Blood Rage, The Others, Rising Sun, Massive Darkness, Arcadia Quest, Dark Age and Rum and Bones. Now they’re setting their ambitions on a certain Marvel property where the sound effect “SNIKT” is commonly heard. Presenting Marvel United: X-Men, a fast-paced co-op game for up to five players. Multiple friends take on the roles of Charles Xavier’s various pupils while one player controls the supervillain they’re trying to stop. If you can’t make up your mind, there are also “antihero” roles with purple figurines for the morally ambiguous — they can fight for either side. Moves are controlled with cards, and some actions can be combined for a super-charged attack. Marvel United is back, bringing the X-Men into this acclaimed fast-paced cooperative game. Build your team of mutant Heroes and join forces to thwart the master plan of the most powerful Villains in the universe. Now you can also choose to take
Dead By Daylight Mobile Celebrates First Anniversary
While the multiplayer survival horror game Dead By Daylight has been around for a while, its mobile version is just one year old. Within that time though it’s grown by leaps and bounds, with millions of downloads and 60 million trials played so far. A lot of the licensed characters from the PC version have also crossed over, from Freddy Krueger to Leatherface to the Demogorgon. “Building up the DbD Mobile team and game was a year-long process where I got to work with a group of truly talented, warm and often hilarious people,” says the producer of the mobile game, Valentine Dessertenne. “We’re all deeply proud of the game we made, and this shows in how far we’ve taken DbDM from a barely-there prototype to a flourishing live game. I’m excited to see what’s next for DbDM and this awesome team we’ve put together.” The birthday celebration has begun. Anniversary Gift Boxes are now available in the game for free. From now through April 25, these boxes will contain
Anime Inspired Tabletop Game LokDown Launches Kickstarter
So you’re in the mood to play a tabletop game based on an anime…but which one? There are so many popular properties out there. Why not choose “ALL OF THEM” with the upcoming tabletop game LokDown? Developed by game design company Nor Cal Mythos in California, LokDown creates a world where any classic anime trope or character type can be realized. It’s “designed to let you be anything from a Demonic Gunslinger to a Kitsune Shapeshifter to a Cyborg Z-Fighter and everything in between,” they say. As for what kind of world this is possible in, they’ve put a lot of thought into it. The backstory is a bit too dense to summarize here and best read on the Kickstarter page (it’s looooong), but here’s a taste: When the alarms blared, announcing the end of stasis, the crews and their families slowly awoke to find their vessels had all crashed on a strange alien world. The only message from Admiral Lok: A call for hope, a plea for determination, and
The Glory: Bullies Beware! Victims Come Back!
“The Glory” is a Korean drama series with 2 seasons. Season 1 was released in 2022, with 8 episodes, and Season 2 was released in 2023, with 8 episodes. Both are streaming on Netflix. “The Glory” has a common enough plot. Moon Dong-Eun was viciously bullied in high school. Her body shows all of the outward scars. One can only imagine what her inner scars are like. When she grows up she takes revenge on those who bullied her and is even more vicious. ♦ Even Though You Get Bullied, You Can Still Dream “The Glory” begins by introducing Moon Dong-Eun, an average ordinary poor student who just wanted to make it through high school. Unfortunately, she became the victim of several school bullies. The ring leader of the bullies was another high school girl named Park Yeon-Jin. She was as pretty and petty as they come, and she had a dream. All she wanted to do when she grew up was marry a rich man, have a child, and
Death Stranding Movie In The Works At A24
After Konami booted Hideo Kojima, he was able to free himself from the endless Metal Gear sequel grind to expand his imagination into some truly weird places. Death Stranding, the epic tale of a delivery man and his baby in a jar, was the result of that — and it’s expanding beyond just a video game. Someday you’ll be able to experience the peculiar plot of Kojima’s story without owning a Sony console, as the man has just announced a partnership with A24 to turn Death Stranding into a movie. No one is cast yet, but given that the game had a row of movie stars in its voice list — and the lead character was modeled directly after his actor, Norman Reedus — it’d be a waste not to get at least some of them back. Don’t expect a one-to-one transfer from screen to screen, however. “There are a lot of ‘game adaptation films’ out there but what we are creating is not just a direct translation of the
