Phantom Pain Won't Have DLC Codes in Collector's Edition Box
There’s already been a hiccup in the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Mainly, in that some people have already gotten the collector’s edition of the PS4 version and found that the DLC that was supposed to be included (via codes in the box) was in fact not. Making fans very angry and wondering what is going on. Thankfully, Konami has taken the initiative and made a post of their Facebook page about this, and stated:
“Please be aware, the PS4 Collector’s Edition of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain code for DLC was not included within the physical package during manufacturing,” Konami said. This issue does not affect the Day One Edition product or any other platforms. All customers who purchase the PS4 Collector’s Edition through the following retailers will automatically receive the DLC codes at the time of purchase on receipt or via email: Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, EB Games, Game Planet.”
Hopefully this issue is very much refined to just the PS4 collectors edition of MGSV, else this could be a very troublesome launch of Konami, something it probably doesn’t want given the already great reviews for the game.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will release September 1st.
