Pokemon Go Adds Holiday Gifts
After several new Pokemon were released into Pokemon Go earlier this year, developer Niantic has revealed that some of the creatures from the Johto region are now available to hatch from eggs as well as be caught in the wild. Specifically, both Togepi and Pichu can be hatched from eggs, in addition to a special edition version of Pikachu that is wearing a Christmas-themed hat. This special Pokemon will only be available until December 29.
Meanwhile, Niantic has also announced that Pokestops will be offering players some extra items through the holiday period to help spread some festive cheer. Until January 3, every Pokemon will award a single-use incubator in addition to the usual random assortment of items given to players. Togepi, Igglybuff, Cleffa, Smoochum, Elekid, Pichu, and Magby will all have their chances of hatching from eggs increased during this time.
From December 30 to January 8, players will also have a better chance of catching any of the original starter Pokemon and their evolved forms in the wild. Lures will also double in length to help anyone who needs these creatures to get a chance to catch them.

Pokemon go continues to make an effort to be popular, but the hype period has passed and it's not the fever now that it used to be a few months ago. Holiday gifts end on the 8th, so only 5 more days to go. 🙂
