Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee announced for Switch
First Pokemon games on Switch announced with Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee
During a Pokemon event Nintendo announced Let’s go Pikachu and Let’s go Eevee as the next titles in the franchise. It is a full RPG, but they are not the next core game in the series which is coming out late 2019. These games will be able to interact with the Pokemon Go app.
Gameplay like Pokemon GO as Pokemon are shown within the area and you catch them like you would in Pokemon Go but with the Joycon controllers. The games will also feature local co op as you and a friend travel the game together. You may also catch Pokemon at the same time. Like all other RPG games in the series, you will be able to battle. You are able to customize your Pikachu or Eevee with costumes as well. Like Pokemon Go with the Plus accessory, these games have something similar with the Poke Ball Plus. What you are able to do with it is to transfer Pokemon from the game to it and carry it around with you and interact with it via the ball.
As mentioned before the game does interact with the Pokemon GO app. The interactions shown so far include transferring Pokemon from the app to the game and sending presents from the game to the app. As of now, no other details of other interactions between the two have been revealed.
The games will be released November 16th of this year. Check out the announcement trailer below.
