Power Rangers: Bryan Cranston Joins Cast as Zordon
The cast for the Power Rangers movie just got a big boost with a huge addition. The voice of Zordon has been cast, and it’s one that should make a lot of fans very happy. Breaking Bad and Malcom in the Middle star Bryan Cranston will be the voice of Zordon in the upcoming live-action film adaptation, currently being produced by Lionsgate. You can check out Cranston’s tweet on the announcement below.
Cranston joins the cast opposite Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, Becky G, Ludi Lin and Elizabeth Banks in the new movie. Of course, Elizabeth Banks is playing Rita Repulsa. So hopefully, Cranston as Zordon and Banks as Rita will get to interact at points in the movie.
This casting move could legitimize the film a lot in the eyes of a great deal of fans. In addition, Cranston was also apparently a voice of a monster way back in the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series from back in early 1990s. So it’s kind of fun that Cranston’s career in a way is coming full circle, and he’s in a way, returning to Power Rangers. Cranston voicing Zordon definitely raises the excitement level for this film.
The Power Rangers movie arrives in theaters on March 24th, 2017.
