During the Cannes Film Festival, Prolific Pictures revealed many of the movies they plan on distributing throughout 2018. Titles like…..

REGiONRAT, a coming-of-age drama based on the novel by Richard Laskowski:

Ray lives in the Region, an industrial wasteland in Northwestern Indiana. The residents there are known as “regionrats,” because they’ll eat anything and are hard to kill. Ray is hard to kill, but the Region will try. He’s Ferris Bueller on a losing streak, learning lessons he didn’t need to learn, the hard way. In the end, Ray finds his way out, but he’ll go through hell to get there.

EYE FOR AN EYE, from director Steven Lambert:

A disavowed CIA agent goes on the run when she is attacked by mercenaries who have learned she possesses a missing memory card containing information that could start World War III.

THRESHOLD, an innovative new take on a Greek myth:

A group of graduating college seniors find themselves stuck in the spooky residence of the college President after a graduation party. The house changes as they move through it, no passage leading the same way twice. They soon discover the house is a labyrinth, and at its center is an ancient monster of mythology. As they are eaten one by one, they learn they are part of a ritual and must find their way out of the house by solving the maze if they are going to survive. No director is set yet.

END TRIP, a dimension-hopping horror thriller from director Aaron Jay Rome:

In one timeline, Brandon, a likable rideshare driver, spends an evening charming a passenger, Judd, for a 5-star rating and a hefty tip. In the other timeline, Brandon arrives home after his long shift and climbs into bed with girlfriend, Stef. Stef screams. He’s not Brandon! The rideshare with Judd continues, growing creepier by the mile, as Brandon forces Stef to play his girlfriend. The two timelines come together in a shocking twist, and Stef must fight for her life against a ruthless serial killer preying upon a city full of people who ride with strangers.

And finally, DEBUNKERS INC, directed by Ryan Andrews…just announced and described with only a sentence pitch:

A Veronica Mars-esque comedy about three goofballs that start a detective agency at their high school.

Watch for these titles later this year as Prolific rolls out its 2018 slate on DVD and VOD platforms.
