Quantum Break Delay Rumored by Xbox Elite Team Writer
Some recent posts on Twitter by Xbox Elite Team writer, Dae Jim, suggested that the highly anticipated new Xbox One exclusive video game, Quantum Break, could be delayed from its scheduled 2015 release. Jim’s current user description on Twitter says he is “Doing several gaming related stuff, big knowledge for #Xbox and… #cats. Writer for Xbox Elite Team.” However, his profile previously listed him as Xbox’s Dutch Community & Social Media Coordinator before this story broke out and caught like wildfire. Dualshockers reports that Jim later removed the “Dutch Community & Social Media Manager at Microsoft” label from his profile description.
Jim initially wrote on his account: “Got some bad news #Xbox gamers, #QuantumBreak is likely delayed, coming early 2016!” He later said, “That said, I’m not confirming it. It might release next week for all I know. I have strong reasons to believe it though, more info soon.”
He later backtracked to some degree on his earlier statements, writing: Just to clarify I’m using likely because it’s still a rumor and I cannot confirm it myself. Please wait for official PR from MS. … Consider this please, delaying is bad for all who are waiting for it but good for the game itself. More sales, more polish and #XboxOne will have an insane 2015 anyway, with or without Quantum Break. Now it will make 2016 freaking awesome.”
Jim then followed those statements with the following tweet:

One imagines people would take him as such when his own Twitter account earlier labeled him as the “Dutch Community & Social Media Manager.” Remedy Entertainment has not confirmed or made a statement on any of this news. Dae Jim clearly made a huge error or fumble here. He deleted his earlier statements saying the game was delayed. He changed his profile. One wonders if he was initially exaggerating or overstating his connection with Microsoft and Xbox. A delay for this type of game is certainly not uncommon and would not necessarily be surprising.
Remedy had not yet given Quantum Break a firm 2015 release date. The game as originally announced in 2013 and is slated for a release on the Xbox One.
