Release Date Announced for Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection
Konami has announced Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Edition is to be released in North America on July 9th for a retail price of $49.99.
The collection will include, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition. The MSX Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 will be available to play using MGS3. MGS 2, 3, and Peace Walker are to be released as HD editions, also included in the collection will be Ashley Woods two digital graphic novels charting the events of the first and second MGS games; this will be the first time it is made available outside of Japan.
The Legacy Collection is set to be released as a PlayStation 3 Exclusive, Hideo Kojima claims this is due to the fact that the capacity of the Xbox 360’s DVD discs are low in comparison to the Blu-ray along with the large storage required for MGS 4.
