Samsara Comes To XBox One And PC February 7
Coming soon to an XBox console near you: Samsara, a new puzzle game from New Zealand developer Marker that should flip players’ minds upside-down.
While playing in the park, Zee follows a squirrel through a portal to a world of echoes, inhabited by a shadow child. Surrounded by the unknown and trapped in a series of realms both confusing and dangerous, the youngsters must avoid slipping into the pool between dimensions, embarking on a voyage of discovery and awakening they share with the player, up and down staircases, through light and dark, across the upside-down and the right side-up to their eventual freedom.
The twist here is that anything Zee does, the shadow will also do in the mirror world — but backwards and upside-down. This means the moves have to be planned out carefully so both characters can escape! At times you’ll have to keep in mind positioning, pathfinding, gravity, balance, redirection and teleportation, according to Marker.
There are 77 levels to solve within Samsara, scattered across six worlds. There are also hidden areas and items to find in each area, assuming you’re good enough to uncover them all. Watch for Samsara on XBox One, PC and Mac February 7.
