SDCC 2017: Spawn Film Will Be Directed By McFarlane
Spawn is one of the greatest anti-heroes in all of comics. In fact, he was the showpiece of Image Comics when it was being born as a major publisher, and the character has lived ever since. The character has had a lot go for him in the years since he was born. He’s had a TV show, a movie, appearances in video games, and more. But now, his creator, Todd McFarlane is coming back to make his character a big screen movie one more time.
This comes from San Diego Comic Con, where McFarlane revealed via his Facebook on a panel with Kevin Smith that he would be directing the Spawn film, of which he is already the writer for. What’s more, the film is now in development by Blumhouse Productions, who did Get Out, Split, and more.
No word yet as to when the film may release.
