SDCC 2017: X-Files Gets Audiobook
At San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that the X-Files would be growing in some interesting ways, mainly through a duo of audiobooks that’ll feature the main cast. This includes David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi, William B. Davis, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund and Bruce Harwood.
Called X-Files: Cold Cases, the audiobook tells the tale of what happened to Mulder and Scully after the events of the movie X-Files: I Want To Believe. Duchovny was at SDCC and talked about how doing this audiobook style was like the old radio shows like The Shadow. Which gave listeners the chance to picture themselves what was happening.
Cold Cases is available now on Audible, and a second book called Stolen Lives is coming this fall.

I'm not sure if this is still gonna be a hit because the "glory" of the X-Files is long gone. Maybe only a few people would purchase the audiobook, and those that do are the die-hard fans.

Sounds pretty interesting, I'm surprised that this hasn't really been done earlier but I am sure many fans of the show will come to appreciate this.

After season 6 I found out that X-files was not upto the mark. Not sure how the audiobook is going to revive the best part of the X-files. It's just that some episodes of X-Files was good at some point in some cases. Apart from that it was just getting boring on many counts. That's what I think. Let's see how that audiobook performs in the market.
